Overview In this role you will manage and support large IT systems to ensure near-100% availability. You'll work with cross-functional teams to install, configure, monitor, and secure hardware, software, and networks. You'll automate routine tasks and implement disaster recovery measures, while educating users and working with vendors on improvements. This position offers hands-on impact on federal IT delivery and system reliability within a security-conscious organization.
Responsibilities- Provide system operations and administrative support to achieve 99.9% availability
- Manage and operate system environment including software, hardware, and network infrastructure
- Develop and run scripts to automate administration and maintenance
- Plan, install, configure, and test PC/server hardware, LAN/WAN networks, and system management tools
- Monitor performance, perform tuning, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues, and coordinate vendor escalations
- Implement and test disaster recovery policies, back-ups, and access controls
- Prepare users through training and references; support knowledge transfer
- Upgrade systems by coordinating with vendors and testing new software
- Maintain system security and confidential information; document procedures and policies
- Stay current with knowledge through training, publications, and professional networks
- Adapt to flexible schedules and collaborate with senior-level clients and teams
Key requirements- US Citizenship required (no dual citizens)
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Bachelor یا 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years IT delivery/operations experience with large US Federal projects
- 2+ years Windows and Linux-based systems experience
- 2+ years OS shell scripting (Bash, sh, ksh, PowerShell)
