Overview In this role you lead architectural strategy for Jacobs' data center programs, shaping design across hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You partner with clients and delivery teams to drive technical excellence and innovative solutions. You oversee coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines while advancing standards and sustainability. Responsibilities- Provide senior architectural leadership across multiple data center programs
- Shape upfront planning, site and building design, and modularization strategies
- Drive design excellence, envelope systems, and integrated building systems
- Ensure code compliance, constructability, and cross-discipline coordination (A, S, MEP)
- Engage in client-facing activities, supporting BD and strategic pursuits
- Mentor architects, contribute to thought leadership, and support industry presence
- Support design reviews, QA, and construction administration across concurrent projects
- Balance strategy with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- 20+ years of architectural experience, 15+ in mission-critical or data center environments
- Expertise in site planning, building envelope systems, modular construction, and BIM coordination
- Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability frameworks
- Proven ability to apply technical innovation to solve complex client challenges
- Preferred: hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center program experience
- Preferred: LEED/WELL or other sustainability certifications
