Overview As the Service Line Director for cardiovascular services, you lead strategic, operational, and financial oversight across multiple sites. You drive growth, access, and efficiency while upholding high-quality, compliant patient care. You partner with physician leadership to align clinical strategy, education, and innovation with system priorities. Your work integrates care across inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary settings, delivering value through data-driven decision making and standardized care models. Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership for ambulatory practices with governance support and patient-centered care delivery
- Align care models, policies, and procedures with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee access, scheduling, staffing, and patient flow to optimize provider productivity and patient experience
- Coordinate nursing services and staffing plans with contingency planning for safe operations
- Manage space, equipment, and resource utilization in collaboration with Facilities
- Support practice growth through space planning, facility expansion, acquisitions, and transition planning
- Maintain communication between ambulatory services, department leadership, and medical group partners
- Lead annual operating budgets, analyze variances, and improve care delivery efficiency
- Develop site-specific budgets, ensure policy alignment, and oversee expenses and financial reporting
- Ensure charge capture, collections, and on-site controls with proper separation of duties
- Foster collaboration among service line, physicians, and departments; mentor leadership; promote cross-training
- Oversee training of staff and physicians, optimize use of software platforms and digital technologies
- Work with HR to ensure workable staffing plans and compliance with wage laws and contracts
- Recruit, evaluate, and develop clinical and administrative staff; manage performance and promotions
- Lead business development activities, including hospital collaborations, physician outreach, and community programs
- Monitor quality, regulatory, and financial metrics; ensure audit readiness and standards compliance
- Lead quality initiatives with clinical teams and nursing leadership to ensure timely reporting and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with governing regulations and contribute to performance improvement programs

Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5-7 years operational healthcare experience (blend of outpatient and inpatient or ancillary preferred)
