Overview As a General Superintendent on site, you drive field operations on projects up to $100M, coordinating trade contractors, safety, schedule, and quality. You will work closely with Sr. Superintendents and project leadership to implement plans and ensure on-time, safe delivery. You shape site execution, logistics, and team development while upholding Gilbane's safety culture and client relationships. This role offers hands-on leadership and opportunities to grow through Gilbane University and cross-project learning. You will contribute to delivering meaningful facilities such as schools, labs, hospitals, and offices, aligning with the company's reputation for quality and safety.

Responsibilities- Direct field coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors to meet schedule and quality targets
- Manage general conditions budget and site services
- Develop and communicate field work plans for changes
- Maintain contract document understanding to anticipate issues
- Obtain permits for construction as needed
- Serve as primary safety representative and drive safety culture
- Lead project meetings and manage daily reports
- Create and update project schedules and contingency plans
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and material needs
- Develop and oversee QIC plan with Operations Excellence
- Mentor Field Engineers and Superintendents
- Support preconstruction, scopes of work, and buyout
- Track Time and Materials (T&M)
- Participate in client, partner, and industry relationship building
- Ensure alignment with company strategies and performance metrics
- Foster inclusive, high-performing teams
- Assist with junior tasks when needed
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering or Construction Management
- 10-15 years of experience on $50-$100 million projects or multi-project lead superintendent roles
- OSHA 30-hour certified
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
