Overview In this role you will lead large-scale datacenter construction projects, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget. You will work closely with design managers, clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure quality and compliance. You'll drive budget and schedule oversight, shepherd permits and entitlements, and mentor the project team across multiple sites. Responsibilities- Oversee large-scale construction projects including site development, ground-up work, data center buildouts, and tenant fit-outs
- Manage base building and tenant MEP systems design and implementation
- Establish and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and consultants
- Review budgets and schedules for content, quality, and adherence to goals
- Act as subject matter expert on construction for evaluating customer leases and projects
- Lead budget and schedule reviews with construction teams
- Discuss objectives and budgets with clients, design staff, and senior leadership
- Create and maintain budgets and schedules across multiple sites at various design/construction stages
- Evaluate impacts of customer requirements
- Provide oversight and assistance on ongoing projects; escalate issues as needed
- Conduct or delegate job-site observations to ensure budget/schedule adherence
- Coordinate reviews with consultants and government agencies for permitting/construction approvals
Key requirements- 6+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of data center construction experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- General Contracting, Construction Management, Equipment Vendor or Architecture experience preferred
- Extensive familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting and cost controls
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and data center operations
- Proficient reading/writing English for job-related communications
