Overview

Join Delve Underground to lead major underground infrastructure projects, including tunnels and utilities, as a Construction Manager. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage risk and budgets, and act as the owner's representative to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. This role offers relocation opportunities to strategic markets and a path to shape our Construction Management group within a growing, employee-owned firm. You'll work at scale on transformative projects that advance public infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Act as project owner's representative, handling contract administration including payments, change orders, time extensions, claims, and certificates of completion
  • Provide and oversee progress reporting to the owner's organization
  • Manage a construction management team (resident engineers, field/office engineers, cost controller, document controller, inspectors, admin support)
  • Lead project discussions, meetings, and workshops
  • Plan, create and oversee deliverables such as schedules, specifications, and budget reports
  • Lead QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policy
  • Lead risk management efforts
  • Manage projects with construction budgets up to $500M
  • Develop business development strategies for new and existing clients
  • Promote and represent the Company in industry forums
  • Contribute to company strategic initiatives and the CM group growth as outlined in Strategic Plans
Key requirements
  • 20+ years in heavy civil industry experience including 15+ years in specialized CM of large underground projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or overseas equivalent)
  • Holds technologist or engineering professional registration/certification
  • Experience with environmental and reclamation construction work
  • Ability to speak and write English professionally
  • Willingness to travel to project sites
