Overview

In this HR role at our Waynesboro facility, you will deliver HR services to employees and managers, enhancing engagement and policy compliance. You'll work with COEs, shared services, and business HR to interpret policies and manage sensitive communications. You will identify and address employee relations issues, support change management, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. This position offers autonomy in ambiguous situations and the opportunity to shape people practices within a dynamic, union-enabled environment. You will engage cross-functionally to support HR programs and ensure fair, compliant outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support to the Waynesboro facility with minimal supervision
  • Interpret and apply HR policies objectively
  • Deliver sensitive communications (e.g., corrective action, reductions-in-force, terminations)
  • Identify and escalate employee relations issues; resolve or advise accordingly
  • Investigate routine to complex employee relations matters and offer recommendations
  • Present HR programs to groups of employees and customers
  • Assist in organizational change initiatives and manage core change processes
  • Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives from design to implementation
  • Promote inclusion and respect across the organization
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 6 years HR experience or equivalent
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Working knowledge of general HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Ability to handle high-volume and moderately complex workload
  • Ability to manage conflict while maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with CI practices
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
