Overview In this role you will lead the profitable growth and expert management of Captive programs, focusing on workers' compensation, general liability, and commercial auto. You'll work closely with internal and external partners to ensure underwriting excellence and disciplined risk selection. You'll influence program outcomes through hands-on underwriting, pricing, and governance across actuarial pricing, claims oversight, and collateral management. This is a client-facing, cross-functional role with travel and strategic impact on captive portfolio performance.

Responsibilities- Program management of assigned Captive programs, including pricing, claims/TPA oversight, reinsurance accounting and collateral management
- Underwrite workers' compensation, general liability and commercial auto for Captive programs with rigorous risk assessment
- Communicate rationale for underwriting decisions and balance profitability with quality
- Drive growth and renewals of Captive programs through relationship leveraging and proactive service
- Coordinate with internal partners and external clients to achieve pricing adequacy and targeted ROE
- Participate in actuarial pricing discussions and ensure disciplined underwriting standards
- Maintain deep understanding of the captive business and deliver responsive customer service
- Influence program outcomes and address shortfalls with targeted actions
Key requirements- 5+ years of Auto Liability, Workers' Compensation, and General Liability underwriting experience; loss sensitive underwriting preferred
- Captive insurance program experience desirable
- Strong Excel and Math skills
- Strong pricing knowledge and coverage knowledge
- Superior relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills
