Overview In this role you will independently lead field operations on large federal projects up to $100M, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will guide the project team and trade contractors, align with client and architect/engineer expectations, and drive site progress and problem solving. You'll work with cross-functional teams to optimize safety, scheduling, and budget performance, while mentoring junior staff. This position offers leadership growth within a respected construction-management firm and exposure to high-profile facilities.

Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate trade contractors to ensure quality work and schedule adherence
- Supervise and develop the project team
- Manage general conditions and Next 150/Site Services budget
- Develop and communicate field work plans and changes
- Lead site walks with owner/architect/engineer and financial institutions
- Maintain contract document knowledge to anticipate issues and coordinate trades
- Obtain and verify necessary permits; liaise with AHJs for inspections
- Act as primary safety representative; drive safety culture
- Develop safety strategies and manage site-wide safety
- Lead contractor meetings and daily reports; track schedule status
- Coordinate and manage jobsite logistics
- Develop the QIC plan with Operations Excellence; implement changes
- Resolve jurisdictional disputes with BU support
- Build credibility with owners, unions, contractors, and partners
- Mentor junior team members; lead Superintendent peers
- Lead technical trainings; participate in business development and preconstruction
- Administer Time and Materials tracking; manage stretch/flex and daily huddles
- Lead ground-up construction with foundation experience
- Engage with the community and local market
- Partner with business development to align sales and account plans; optimize profit levers and margins
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience on $50M-$100M+ commercial/industrial projects or multiple projects as lead superintendent
- Federal construction experience required
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1, hazard identification, and safety compliance
- OSHA 30-hour certified
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
