Sales Training Manager - Precision Oncology & Rare Disease Sales

Overview

In this role you will lead the commercial training strategy for Abbott's oncology and rare disease products, supporting both new hires and ongoing education. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to design learning programs, workshops, and competency-based content aligned to sales objectives. You will assess knowledge gaps, update content with the latest science, and tailor sessions to diverse audiences. This position sits in the Cancer Diagnostics division and offers a meaningful opportunity to impact patient care through education and sales excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, support, and deliver sales training components for oncology products for new and existing commercial teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create learning opportunities across departments
  • Partner with marketing, medical affairs, and sales leadership to run workshops at national, area, and regional meetings
  • Assess learning gaps and design targeted programs to improve field effectiveness and competencies
  • Stay current on trends through education, publications, networks, and professional activities
  • Lead without direct authority, manage multiple priorities, and tailor content to the audience
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales or commercial experience
  • 3+ years in oncology or other specialty healthcare spaces
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Clear written and verbal communication of complex oncology information
  • Ability to distill scientific concepts for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and applying them in medical settings
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
