Overview In this role you will drive Translational Medicine and early clinical development for neurological and psychiatric therapeutics. You'll lead cross-functional efforts with discovery, pharmacology, regulatory, and clinical operations to advance programs from preclinical to Proof-of-Concept and beyond. You will shape biomarker strategies and clinical pharmacology plans to support regulatory filings. You will work with global teams to translate scientific insights into patient-focused therapies. Responsibilities- Provide clinical input for target identification/validation and design preclinical/clinical experiments to advance therapeutic targets
- Collaborate with discovery, pharmacology, toxicology, and other specialists to move programs from preclinical to clinical development
- Lead early development teams and coordinate with internal/external staff on strategy and execution
- Lead clinical pharmacology studies across all phases, including formulation changes, DDI studies, and special populations
- Support regulatory filings with clinical pharmacology data and presentations
- Develop and execute biomarker studies using blood/tissue sampling, imaging, electrophysiology, wearables, and behavior
- Assess internal/external partnership opportunities and engage with scientific communities via conferences and publications
- Work with global research sites and cross-functional functions to support development
Key requirements- MD or MD/PhD (or international equivalent) with a track record of biomedical research and publications
- Clinical medicine experience with residency training completed or anticipated
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work across therapeutic areas and contribute to translational research
