Overview In this role you drive sensory and consumer research to shape Sam's Club product strategies across merchandise categories. You will partner with Product Development, Merchandising, Quality, and Supplier teams to translate member feedback into actionable product recommendations. You manage research from design to final recommendations, delivering clear impact on product performance. This position offers cross-functional collaboration in a data-driven environment with a mission to deepen member understanding and improve product quality.

Responsibilities- Design and execute sensory and consumer research to address business questions
- Translate questions into appropriate research designs and methods
- Analyze and interpret data, including statistical testing, independently
- Identify drivers of product performance and provide actionable recommendations
- Manage multiple studies from planning through reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to integrate member feedback into development
- Ensure research meets scientific and quality standards
- Support various sensory testing experiences (in-home, central-location, etc.)
Key requirements- Strong knowledge of sensory and consumer research methodologies
- Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
- Ability to independently manage research from design through reporting
- Strong product development and problem-solving skills
