Resident Project Representative - Water (Denver)

Overview

As a Resident Representative, you oversee on-site administrative and construction observation activities to ensure alignment with drawings and specifications. You coordinate between the engineering team, contractor, client, and other stakeholders to manage schedules, progress, and deliverables. Your role includes QA/QC oversight, safety program adherence, and field-based problem solving, shaping project execution on-site. You will lead field meetings, document progress with logs and photos, and foster strong client and subcontractor relationships. This is a hands-on, field-facing position that drives quality, safety, and project performance.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and verify contractor work against drawings and specifications
  • Monitor subcontractor activities for conformance with contract documents
  • Interface with Engineering Manager and discipline engineers to resolve field issues
  • Develop daily logs and site photos to document progress
  • Lead field meetings on safety, coordination, and schedule
  • Interface with client representatives and regulatory authorities as needed
  • Collaborate with project management to implement plans, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure contractual compliance of construction-related activities
  • Review delivered materials and verify conformance with submittals
  • Verify subcontractor progress payments and supplier invoices
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations on construction methods
  • Maintain QA/QC adherence and safety program compliance
  • Support driver requirements and spend majority of time in the field
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field OR 8 years of related field experience with HS diploma
  • Experience as a lead construction project inspector preferred
  • Knowledge of engineering plans, drawings, specs, and construction methods
  • Experience with surveying and materials testing preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Broad experience coordinating with engineers, owners, clients, and contractors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with document control software and project management systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work primarily in the field
