Overview In this role you lead actuarial support for General Liability, Umbrella, and Excess within the M&LB team, driving loss ratio planning and Health of the Line insights. You collaborate across actuarial disciplines and allied functions to align on an enterprise GL view and timely actions for underwriters. You deliver analyses on loss cost trends using predictive modeling to influence underwriting decisions, and advance analytics for umbrella and excess products. This is a high-impact leadership role at a data-driven insurer shaping pricing and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities- Manage an actuarial team providing line-of-business support for GL, Umbrella, and Excess across multiple segments
- Lead the GL Health of the Line reporting with senior leaders
- Own LOB-level analyses (trend, base year) to meet Loss Ratio Planning timelines
- Deliver timely loss cost trend analyses informed by predictive models for underwriting action
- Advance analytics and insights to support Umbrella and Excess products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Claims, and Performance Analytics to achieve an enterprise GL view
Key requirements- 7+ years actuarial experience
- FCAS preferred but not required
- Leadership experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to business leaders
- Experience with liability lines (GL, Umbrella, Excess) or long-tail casualty preferred but not required
- Innovative, collaborative problem solver able to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Proactive, process-driven with ability to meet deadlines
- Strong technical and data skills; proficient with Excel and capable of coding in R, Python, SQL
