Overview As Senior Project Manager in STV's Construction Management group in Los Angeles, you lead complex capital improvement programs as the owner's representative, from planning through closeout. You coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver on district objectives safely, on time, and within budget, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You influence project strategy, risk, and stakeholder engagement across public-sector and educational facilities projects. Responsibilities- Lead all phases of capital improvement projects from planning to closeout
- Develop and implement execution strategies aligned with goals, budgets, schedules, and quality
- Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction to maintain technical excellence
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
- Assemble, mentor, and direct project teams and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders and lead project meetings for timely decision-making
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and resource plans; monitor expenditures and mitigate risks
- Review schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and change orders to ensure objectives are met
- Ensure compliance with LAUSD standards, building codes, and contract documents
- Review and negotiate changes, claims, and contract modifications
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience on large capital construction projects
- Experience as an owner's representative on public sector, K-12, higher education, or institutional projects
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage consultants and contractors
- Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and risk management
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and construction/project management software
