Overview In this role you lead the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab, advancing AM technologies for aerospace applications. You partner with LM units and external customers to transition AM offerings into production-ready solutions. Responsibilities- Lead the engineering team to develop technical roadmaps, secure research funding, and certify materials for tooling and flight hardware.
- Oversee operation, maintenance, safety compliance, and budgeting of two AM labs at separate facilities.
- Drive cross disciplinary collaboration and communicate progress to senior leadership and customers.
- Provide direct engineering support to aeronautics programs and external customers.
- Manage full-cycle staffing, personnel development, and continuous improvement of the lab workforce.
Key requirements- Engineering or other technical bachelor's degree (STEM).
- 8 years of technical experience in metal and polymer additive manufacturing/3D printing, preferably in aerospace or defense.
- Proven ability to develop technology roadmaps and secure funding for R&D projects.
