Overview

Como staff architect you help define large-scale decisions across multiple domains and guide AI-enabled design and governance. You will partner with global teams to align architectural decisions with product roadmaps and business goals while shaping patterns for AI adoption. This role balances technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to scale systems and earn customer trust. Responsibilities
  • Define large-scale architectural decisions across domains and evaluate tradeoffs for quality and scalability
  • Lead complex architectural design discussions and align on technical approaches
  • Solve complex architectural problems to advance patterns and solutions
  • Define AI usage patterns across the lifecycle and surface system-level insights
  • Create guides for architectural standards and promote knowledge sharing
  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to align decisions with the roadmap
  • Provide direction, prioritize architectural initiatives and ensure multi-team success
  • Shape enterprise architecture strategy and establish standards across the organization
  • Resolve systemic architectural issues and drive durable solutions
  • Influence AI investments at platform level and promote ethical, secure AI usage
  • Establish enterprise-wide architectural standards and scalable documentation
  • Strategize with engineering and business leaders to align architecture with multi-year plans
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in software engineering or architecture (Senior Staff 12+ years)
  • Computer Science or related field degree or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge of software architecture principles across multiple domains
  • Expert knowledge of cloud-based technologies, distributed systems, and security practices
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, automation, scalability and resilience
  • Proven ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders and build consensus
  • Fluency applying AI across the architecture lifecycle and hands-on with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and governance
  • Experience with enterprise architecture principles, integration patterns, and cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools
