Healthcare Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this Project Manager role, you drive successful healthcare construction projects across hospitals, medical offices, and clinical facilities. You lead cross-functional teams, coordinate work in occupied environments, and ensure regulatory and infection-control compliance. You will work closely with owners, architects, and engineers to minimize disruption and deliver on project goals. This position offers a path toward senior management within a growth-focused healthcare construction organization. You will shape project outcomes through strong process and effective stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver successful healthcare construction projects through strong process, scheduling, and project controls
  • Lead teams on hospitals, medical office buildings, and clinical facilities
  • Communicate effectively with owners, architects and engineers
  • Coordinate projects in occupied healthcare environments, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care
  • Support the preconstruction team
  • Support business development efforts including RFP responses and client interviews in the healthcare sector
  • Lead meetings such as OAC and monthly project status reviews
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control (ICRA), and life safety requirements (ILSM)
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
  • Minimum 8+ years of construction experience with strong healthcare project experience
  • Experience with hospital renovations and expansions
  • Experience working in occupied/active healthcare environments
  • Experience managing phasing, infection control measures, and complex MEP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in highly regulated environments
  • Ability to support and grow healthcare client relationships and business development efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good client management skills and ability to lead teams through preconstruction and construction in healthcare systems
  • Bluebeam experience/capability desired
