Overview In this role, you will define and mature signal- and mission-processing capabilities for multi-mission payloads on-site in Palm Bay. You will design algorithms and data-processing pipelines, enabling accurate geolocation, tracking, and sensor fusion across diverse missions. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to transition algorithms to embedded software and programmable logic, ensuring reliable performance. The position supports the Agile Missions portfolio and requires handling technical risk and stakeholder communication. This is a hands-on role with impact on system latency, resources, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities- Define architectures, flows, interfaces, and verification strategies for multi-mission payloads
- Develop signal-processing algorithms for time-frequency analysis, detection, and estimation
- Create multi-sensor fusion, data association, tracking, and geolocation approaches
- Build models and simulations to assess performance, latency, and resource use
- Collaborate with FPGA, firmware, software, and systems teams to transition algorithms to hardware or embedded software
- Support integration, verification, validation, anomaly resolution, and risk closure
- Produce analyses and artifacts for internal and customer reviews; brief results and decisions to stakeholders
Key requirements- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Mathematics
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain SAP access
- Expertise in digital signal processing and communications theory with implementation in firmware/software
- Experience in systems engineering for aerospace/multi-mission payloads
- Depth in at least one of: array signal processing with geolocation, statistical signal processing, radar signal processing, modern communications systems, electronic warfare, or machine learning/AI
