Overview

In this role, you will lead GPCR-focused pharmacology within Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology to support discovery and characterization of therapeutic candidates. You will shape assay strategies, interpret receptor mechanisms, and guide project directions on multidisciplinary teams. The position offers impact across cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disease areas, with opportunities to adopt cutting-edge technologies and mentor scientists. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary GPCR expert and strategic advocate on multidisciplinary project teams
  • Oversee rigorous in vitro pharmacological characterization to advance lead candidates
  • Lead development, optimization, and execution of advanced molecular pharmacology assays
  • Collaborate with and mentor Scientist partners to execute complex experiments and streamline workflows
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance pharmacological capabilities
  • Present data-driven findings and strategic directions to stakeholders and leadership
Key requirements
  • Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline with 1-5 years of postdoctoral/industry experience
  • Expertise in receptor theory, signal transduction, allosteric modulation, and biased signaling
  • Hands-on experience with GPCR assay platforms (cAMP, calcium flux, BRET/FRET, Beta-arrestin recruitment)
  • Experience in cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic disease areas
  • Proven ability to develop and troubleshoot biochemical and cell-based assay cascades
  • Experience with primary cells and gene-editing techniques (e.g., CRISPR)
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with track record of impactful presentations
