Overview As Senior Program / Construction Director you lead planning, design, procurement and construction of major transportation programs, focusing on rail and tunnel projects. You drive cross functional teams to deliver safely, on schedule and within budget, adhering to agency and federal requirements. You report to the client Project Director and shape delivery for a high impact rail extension and tunneling program in San Francisco. This is a strategic, client facing leadership role with delivery accountability and multi party coordination.

Responsibilities- Lead delivery of major transportation and transit capital programs through construction and commissioning.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams including agency staff, consultants, designers, and contractors.
- Oversee program management, design management, construction management, contract administration, cost and schedule controls, quality, safety, risk, and stakeholder coordination.
- Manage procurement, contract negotiations, change management, claims avoidance, and dispute resolution.
- Implement program controls, performance reporting, and executive governance.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, utilities, and funding partners.
- Ensure compliance with FTA, California, and agency requirements.
Key requirements- BA/BS with extensive experience managing major transportation infrastructure projects (rail/tunnel) or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of leadership experience.
- Proven track record delivering complex capital programs in public and private sectors with Alternative Delivery contracting.
- Experience in program, construction, design management, contract administration, and cost/schedule controls.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large, complex programs.
- Experience with federally funded transportation projects.
