Overview In this role you drive Small Business submission flow and growth within a defined territory by aligning with local agencies and cross-functional partners. You'll build credibility as a trusted advisor through product knowledge, underwriting appetite, and workflow guidance, enabling faster, smoother submissions and better hit ratios. You work closely with agents, CSRs, and underwriting to sustain production and optimize performance, contributing to sustainable territory growth and improved partner experience. This role offers in-market leadership and direct impact on CNA's Small Business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Drive submission flow for Small Business; manage local pipelines and weekly execution plans
- Execute agency growth plans and align activities to portfolio goals
- Engage with frontline producers and CSRs for training, appetite refresh, and workflow enablement
- Create demand for Small Business products by highlighting appetite fit and ease-of-doing-business
- Coordinate with National Sales Executives to implement growth strategies locally
- Own territory results, pipelines, and execution discipline
- Develop agency-level engagement strategies with training and optimization actions
- Establish in-market credibility and be the go-to contact for CNA's submissions and processes
- Strengthen connectivity between Underwriting and agents to improve collaboration and hit ratios
- Monitor local market dynamics and share insights to support portfolio health
- Track results, provide feedback loops to leadership and maintain activity discipline
Key requirements- 5+ years in commercial insurance distribution, agency management, or sales roles; Small Business experience preferred
- Proven success driving producer and CSR adoption, territory growth, and conversion improvements
- Ability to collaborate with underwriting and internal partners to remove barriers and accelerate flow
- Strong communication and credible presence in-market
- Self-directed and execution-oriented
- Strategic thinking with discipline to manage travel and competing priorities
- Knowledge of Small Business underwriting appetite, products, and submission quality standards
