Overview In this role you will provide expert radiological control support for ORP project work at the Hanford site. You will collaborate with the Safety and Health Division to assess contractor programs and ensure compliance on the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant and Tank Farms projects. You'll translate data and experiences into actionable performance improvements within a mission to protect the Columbia River. This position offers impact across environmental remediation efforts and cross-functional engagement in a high-stakes government program.

Responsibilities- Review Radiological Control Programs for compliance
- Assess WTP and Tank Farms contractors' compliance with laws/regulations (e.g., 10 CFR 835)
- Demonstrate knowledge of ORP and TRS-OA-IP-01 procedures
- Provide senior health physics expertise to ORP SHD and project teams
- Prepare and summarize information for briefings and reports
- Coordinate with other organizations to keep current information updated
- Support design, construction, environmental remediation, and operation tasks for DOE sites
Key requirements- BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management
- Ten (10) years of directly applicable experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools
- Strong writing/editing/analytical communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility access and security clearance requirements
- Occasional travel as needed
- Experience with editing, formatting, and use of Adobe Acrobat/Visio (as applicable)
