HR Technology and Integrations Architect - Computing Services

Overview

In this role you will architect and implement technical configurations and integrations for the University's HR applications, collaborating with functional teams to deliver reliable solutions. You will lead break/fix support, oversee upgrades, and design end-to-end technical solutions that respect data privacy and security. You will document cut-overs, facilitate testing, and contribute to enterprise-wide HR technology projects, shaping how HR data and processes are managed at scale. This role blends hands-on development with cross functional collaboration to drive value across campus.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to design, configuration, testing and migration procedures
  • Support data access and privacy standards
  • Collaborate with HR Business Analysts and process owners on test design and execution
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver timely solutions
  • Communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • Demonstrate strong organization and planning
  • Design solutions based on gathered requirements to optimize HR management
  • Document and execute cut-over and migration from test to production
  • Document detailed solution designs including configuration, security and scheduling
  • Monitor HR software upgrade releases and drive evaluation, configuration and implementation of new features
  • Review and recommend solution options to stakeholders when requirements do not meet standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong background in technical configuration and development for HR systems
  • Experience with integrations tools and programming in C, Java, XML and XSLT
  • Preferred: Workday HCM configuration experience and related tools (Studio, Workday Core Connector, Cloud Connector Benefits, Workday Web Services SOAP & REST)
  • Experience supporting HR technologies in higher education setting
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage project timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
