Overview In this role you lead technical and design excellence for education projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver complex builds. You guide projects from design development through construction, ensuring quality, risk management, and compliance with codes. You mentor staff, help shape staffing and strategic initiatives, and partner with leadership to drive firm-wide collaboration. You'll work within a design-forward, inclusive culture to affect real communities through education spaces.

Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership across all project phases, including design development, documentation, code/agency coordination, consultant collaboration, and construction administration
- Lead complex projects by guiding teams, managing schedules, budgets, resources, and scope changes
- Resolve design, technical, and regulatory challenges in collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and firm leadership
- Ensure design excellence, quality control, and risk management through thorough document Reviews and adherence to firm standards
- Mentor and develop staff through delegation, coaching, and supporting professional growth
- Partner with market and studio leadership on staffing, proposals, and strategic initiatives while contributing to firm-wide collaboration
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Licensed Architect in the U.S. (California preferred)
- Proficient with BIM/Revit software programs, MS Office Suite, Bluebeam
- Prior experience with Education projects (DSA experience a huge plus)
