Overview In this role you drive the design, delivery, and evaluation of educational activities for hospital staff, aligning programs with the organization's mission and values. You lead the Clinical Education Department, collaborating with unit directors and external partners to close competency gaps and support clinician development. You oversee orientation, continuing education, and regulatory compliance, while acting as the ANCC Accredited Provider Program Director. You shape learning strategies to improve patient safety and evidence-based practice across the organization.

Responsibilities- Assess learning needs and competency gaps with unit directors
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities for nurses and clinicians
- Coordinate orientation programs and staff development initiatives
- Oversee department operations including meetings, policy development, payroll, staffing, and productivity reporting
- Ensure programs align with mission, vision, and values; promote safe, evidence-based practice
- Serve as ANCC Accredited Provider Program Director for continuing education
- Collaborate with unit preceptors and external learning institutions
- Identify and procure educational materials; coach staff and foster professional nursing practice
Key requirements- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current Ohio RN license
- 3-5 years of recent clinical experience
- Recent teaching experience with adult learners
- Expertise in clinical skills, computer skills, and adult education
- Ongoing CE requirements: 24 contact hours/2 years per Ohio Board of Nursing
- Continuous certification in BLS and certifications in ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment
