Overview In this role you drive client relationships and project delivery for municipal water and wastewater initiatives. You'll work with a collaborative team to manage medium-to-large projects from scope through completion, influencing major treatment plant expansions and water reuse efforts. You'll lead cross functional teams, ensure budget and schedule adherence, and mentor staff. Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and manage client communications
- Plan, schedule, and oversee engineering work on multiple medium-to-large projects
- Coordinate with engineers and officials from other organizations
- Assume full technical responsibility for project interpretation, organization, and execution
- Define program objectives, requirements, and project scope
- Explore subject areas, define problems, and develop novel concepts
- Manage budgets, schedules, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Direct multiple supervisors or team leaders and mentor internal staff
- Lead projects addressing unique or controversial problems impacting major programs
- Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities
- Make independent, authoritative technical decisions
- Participate in proposal development, interviews, and contract negotiations with clients
- Support firm relationships with client management personnel
- Identify and direct sub-consultants on projects
- Engage in professional associations and technical committees
- Minimal travel as required
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
- Professional Engineer registration
- 15+ years of relevant experience in water and wastewater projects
- Experience delivering water/wastewater treatment, reuse, collection systems, transmission/distribution, rehabilitation, or pump stations
