Overview

As Traveling Site Superintendent, you will lead field activities across diverse industrial projects, championing a safety-first culture and coordinating with design teams. You'll manage subcontractors, crews, and schedules while maintaining client relationships and project budgets. This role supports Epstein's mission of delivering sustainable, best-in-class solutions through hands-on leadership on-site. Expect significant travel and cross-site collaboration with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise all field activities with foremen, field engineers, and subcontractors
  • Foster a proactive safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and coordinate with design/engineering teams
  • Assist Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting labor, equipment, and materials
  • Plan site utilization and crew sizes; ensure schedules are followed by trade contractors
  • Maintain project documentation: daily/weekly reports, safety checklists, and change order reviews
  • Coordinate design-field interface and review change orders for PM approval
  • Coach, mentor, and train field personnel
Key requirements
  • 12+ years of supervisory experience on large projects for GC or CM
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent preferred or equal experience
  • Working knowledge of field construction systems, safety, and procedures
  • Knowledge of scheduling techniques (CPM) and ability to interpret construction documents
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, supervisory, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Experience in MS Project and Procore (preferred)
  • 30 hour OSHA certification (preferred)
