Overview As Assistant Project Manager, you will support the delivery of utility-scale solar projects across the U.S. You work onsite with field teams, subcontractors, and leaders to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence. You'll manage day-to-day operations, track progress, and resolve issues while learning the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through close-out. This growth-focused role feeds into MasTec's mission to expand clean energy infrastructure and offers rotation across projects. You'll engage with diverse teams to drive results and develop future project leaders.

Responsibilities- Coordinate engineering studies and submittals/RFI handling
- Track job costs and forecast monthly revenue
- Manage QA/QC and resolve contract disputes with Owners
- Create subcontracts and purchase orders; manage payments and change orders
- Communicate with owners/clients on planning, specifications, and technical questions
- Coordinate with regional managers on project status and planning
- Establish monthly billing procedures and maintain cost control
- Review and approve subcontractor payment applications and material invoices
Key requirements- Bachelor in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum five years of Solar or EPC construction experience
- Strong cost tracking, budgeting, and contract administration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to read blueprints and analyze technical documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and leadership
- Safety-focused mindset with adherence to Zero Injury principles
