Overview

As Construction Project Manager II, you will lead on-site delivery of a medium-sized project, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. You'll work with a collaborative team to implement project controls, risk mitigation, and change management in alignment with contract requirements. You'll develop and supervise plans for quality, closeout, and subcontracting, while mentoring staff and coordinating with business development. This role offers strong growth through Gilbane University training and exposure to diverse disciplines. You help Gilbane execute complex projects and strengthen client and partner relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on-site project direction for safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery
  • Develop and monitor project controls, risk mitigation, and change management plans
  • Create and manage quality and closeout plans aligned with contract documents
  • Supervise project team including superintendents and engineers; train direct reports
  • Contribute to subcontracting strategy; draft scopes and buyout deliverables
  • Enforce contracts, manage risk mitigation plans, and prepare contracts/purchase orders
  • Coordinate insurance/bonds enrollment and verify trade contractor compliance
  • Assist in estimates for select bid packages and GMP preparation
  • Create CPM schedule and provide monthly schedule updates
  • Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies and client deliverables
  • Manage workload of direct reports; foster inclusive, productive work environment
  • Support communication of company/department strategy to team
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of industry standard software and Microsoft Office preferred
