Overview In this role you will underwrite and manage a portfolio of Financial Institutions Management Liability business within AXIS's Retail distribution model. You will actively originate opportunities through strong broker relationships and handle complex FI risks across public/private entities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure profitability and alignment with underwriting standards while driving strategic growth. This is an opportunity to shape multi-line solutions for sophisticated FI accounts in a market-facing, high-impact role.

Responsibilities- Develop and sustain relationships with retail brokers to generate new business
- Lead broker engagement and market travel to win opportunities
- Manage a portfolio of new and renewal FI Management Liability business for profitability
- Retain existing accounts and selectively pursue new opportunities
- Support cross-selling of AXIS Management Liability and related Financial Lines products
- Underwrite complex FI Management Liability risks, including public company exposures; structure terms, limits, and pricing within authority
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines, service standards, and rigorous documentation
- Meet divisional service standards and maintain accurate underwriting files
Key requirements- 7+ years underwriting Management Liability or related Financial Lines risks
- Strong broker relationships within the U.S. retail market
- Proven track record of growing a profitable underwriting portfolio
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Relationship management with brokers and internal partners
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Underwriting of complex FI Management Liability risks (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, etc.)
- Risk evaluation and structured solution design
- Ability to structure terms, conditions, limits, and pricing
