Overview

In this role you oversee design and construction for healthcare, higher education, and institutional expansion/renovation projects, guiding them from planning through occupancy. You will coordinate cross functional teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and maintain close client communication to deliver projects on time and within cost. The work spans a range of project sizes and complexities, contributing to communities through impactful facilities. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends design oversight with construction administration to realize client visions.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple healthcare, higher education, or commercial expansion/renovation projects as Owner's Representative
  • Manage approved scope, schedule, and budget
  • Direct Design Team (Architects, Engineers, Equipment Planner, consultants)
  • Provide day-to-day project oversight and client communications
  • Lead Construction Team on behalf of the owner
  • Develop, track, forecast, and adjust project schedule and budget across all phases
  • Review contracts, invoices, and payments to contractors and vendors
  • Prepare Monthly Reports to Owner
  • Assist in plan reviews and inspections with Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • Support contract negotiations and coordinate move/occupancy activities
  • Review and approve invoices and change orders
  • Evaluate and help resolve disputes and claims
  • Typically report to project executive or principal
Key requirements
  • Project Management experience in buildings sector (design and construction of healthcare, commercial, and higher education)
  • Professional interaction with internal/external clients and field subcontractors
  • Strong computer skills in scheduling, word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Experience with budget management or specialized software
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Understanding of design and construction processes and requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
