Overview In this role you drive the cost estimation for complex civil, structural, and tunnel projects, guiding a team of estimators to deliver accurate, risk-aware budgets. You will collaborate with designers, contractors, and risk assessments to ensure constructability and pricing integrity. Responsibilities- Lead cost estimating efforts on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects
- Lead a group of project cost estimators
- Conduct and oversee conceptual and production-based estimates and scheduling for design deliverables
- Perform take-offs and issue solicitations; maintain estimating databases
- Occasional field visits to observe methods and crew deployment
- Collaborate on risk assessments to quantify project risks
- Review design drawings for constructability and specs for cost-related issues
- Provide QA review on others' work
Key requirements- Minimum 10 years direct field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects
- 20+ years in heavy civil tunnel projects preferred
- Experience with heavy civil contractor underground portfolio desirable
- Exposure to cost estimating and pricing
- Exposure to construction claims or change orders pricing
- Accredited undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional registration or certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Strong analytical and computer software skills
