Overview In this role you shape the mechanical and plumbing design for AWS data centers, using BIM to deliver accurate, constructible models and documentation. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable MEP solutions that meet high standards of quality and speed to market. You'll work on innovative data center projects, coding standards, and BIM templates while supporting the central engineering team. This is a hands-on design role with growth opportunities in a fast-paced cloud infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities- Design and maintain detailed Revit models for mechanical & plumbing building systems in data centers
- Develop and publish construction documentation for M&P systems in a fast-paced setting
- Update, modify and coordinate models and drawings; contribute to standard BIM templates
- Participate in design coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution
- Work on concurrent projects across multiple locations; support information exchange with internal/external stakeholders
- Provide coordination support during construction and report key metrics to management
- Travel to data center sites for evaluations and surveys (average 1-2 times/year)
- Maintain a positive, creative problem-solving mindset and contribute to team success
Key requirements- 4+ years of Revit experience producing MEP BIM models and drawings
- 5+ years of design/engineering experience on mechanical & plumbing building systems (mission critical facilities)
- Practical knowledge of M&P codes IPC or UPC and safety regulations
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong collaboration and communication across disciplines
