Overview As Head of Agentic Biology within CompAI, you lead the design and deployment of AI-first, end-to-end discovery workflows that accelerate therapeutic programs. You will shape an enterprise-scale computational ecosystem, linking wet-lab data capture with advanced modeling and agentic AI to inform go/no-go decisions. You collaborate across immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and other domains to advance target discovery and validation. This role combines leadership, deep computation expertise, and hands-on delivery to push the frontier of AI-enabled drug discovery. You will influence strategy, build cross-functional teams, and drive measurable impact in early discovery.

Responsibilities- Lead design and deployment of initial agentic bioinformatics workflows automating data capture, analysis, and insight generation across programs
- Shift from reactive analysis to proactive, predictive, autonomous reasoning in biology
- Advance target discovery using multi-modal disease data (genetics, genomics, single-cell, proteomics, imaging, clinical)
- Provide strategic direction for bioinformatics across therapeutic areas and inform go/no-go decisions
- Translate computational findings into experimental validation strategies
- Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership with scientific rigor
- Design and scale bioinformatics infrastructure using cloud-native architectures and agentic tooling
- Oversee data modeling, integration, pipelines, AI/ML, DataOps, ModelOps, and cloud platforms
- Lead big data lake initiatives for Genetic, Transcriptomic, and Proteomic data
Key requirements- PhD in a STEM field (AI/ML, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, etc.)
- 5+ years of AI/ML experience; biotech/pharma or academia exposure preferred
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and autonomous workflow orchestration
- Hands-on experience with AI for Science tools and platforms in biology
- Knowledge of foundational models in biology and multi-omics data integration
- Proven leadership of matrix and international teams in biopharma or research
- Deep expertise in disease/target biology across Sanofi's key areas
