Overview

In this role you will lead preconstruction efforts for manufacturing and industrial projects, driving early cost and scheduling decisions. You'll collaborate with partners, directors, and a skilled team to deliver accurate budgets, timelines, and procurement plans. You'll shape project scope through master data and bid documents, ensuring rigorous quality and schedule adherence. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an effective preconstruction program for conceptual budgets and schedules
  • Create and manage a master database of project estimates and costs
  • Maintain a master list of prequalified vendors and subcontractors
  • Develop master bid documents and scopes of work
  • Participate in procurement of major project scopes and equipment
  • Assist in planning and scheduling with initial and preliminary estimates
  • Support project managers with contract reviews and subcontractor selections
  • Monitor quality control and cost performance for major procurement items
  • Contribute to post-project reviews and maintenance of operations manuals
  • Oversee annual performance evaluations and workload reporting
Key requirements
  • 10 years of General Contractor construction and preconstruction experience
  • 5+ years in construction projects within manufacturing/industrial sectors preferred
  • Experience negotiating contracts and bid preparation
  • Understanding of prime contract requirements (schedules, scopes, budgets)
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, or Revit
  • Excellent time management and multi-project capability
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management (preferred)
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
