Overview

In this role you support DOE Hanford operations by delivering operational and administrative assistance to the OCC and RL/ORP teams. You help manage litigation processes, document controls, and filing in IDMS, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables. You'll work with attorneys and stakeholders to maintain compliant records and prepare routine legal documents. The position offers exposure to government litigation, records management, and cross-functional collaboration in a mission-driven consulting firm. This is a hands-on role that contributes to effective governance and program support.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and review litigation correspondence and documents; coordinate with attorneys and personnel; draft routine responses with proper accuracy and terminology
  • Assist with litigation case file updates and discovery matters; track and review outside counsel invoices
  • Maintain OCC, RL, and ORP litigation-related records in IDMS and related systems
  • Transition hard-copy files to electronic formats; manage desk procedures and filing systems
  • Prepare letters, reports, and various documents; generate analyses in spreadsheets or timelines
  • Answer OCC phone lines and manage legal library inventory; verify subscriptions and renewals
  • Prepare annual and quarterly reports for DOE and OCC oversight
  • Support FOIA requests and production of legal documents
  • Track and update litigation and contractor oversight files in IDMS
  • Coordinate with attorneys to draft and update internal procedures and training documents
  • Travel as required and work at DOE Richland Operations Office site
Key requirements
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • 4-year degree in a relevant field
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools
  • Knowledge of government records rules and basic litigation filing systems
  • Prefer IDMS knowledge; ability to manage litigation tracking
  • Ability to draft basic legal documents with proper grammar and terminology
  • Experience with discovery processes and litigation tracking systems
