Senior Computational Electromagnetics Scientist

Overview

In this role you will lead research and development of advanced Computational Electromagnetics, Acoustics, and related physics simulations. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of CEM, AI/ML, and software engineers to translate cutting-edge research into real-world solutions. You'll drive high-performance CEM software, mentor engineers, and contribute to business development through PoCs and proposals. The role combines deep technical leadership with strategic collaboration across teams to push the frontier of computational tools.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of advanced computational solutions for complex physical problems
  • Develop algorithms for EM interactions with complex media and extend tools with AI/ML-based surrogates
  • Collaborate with mathematicians, physicists, RF/antennas engineers, and computer scientists to solve large-scale problems
  • Mentor and upskill junior engineers and scientists and transition research into operational solutions
  • Contribute to R&D business development including PoCs, proposals, and RFI responses
Key requirements
  • US citizen with ability to obtain/maintain US Security clearance at SECRET or higher
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with specialization in Computational Science/Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in Computational Modeling and Simulation of complex physical phenomena
  • Proven ability to develop and deploy high-performance CEM software
  • Experience contributing to winning technical proposals
  • Strong technical communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and motivate diverse personnel
