Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Construction Management

In this client-facing role, you will drive construction cost management for a diverse portfolio in the Pacific Northwest from Seattle. You will partner with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver accurate cost planning, estimating, procurement, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. You will help shape project outcomes through value engineering and market benchmarking while upholding Turner & Townsend's standards of excellence and client service. • Advising on procurement strategies and managing vendor prequalification and bid processes
• Leading estimating activities across the project lifecycle including developing and reviewing cost estimates and presenting value engineering recommendations
• Managing cost reporting, budgets, spend forecasts and risk registers, and leading cost meetings
• Overseeing cost control processes such as payment reviews, change orders, entitlement assessments, and dispute avoidance
• Monitoring invoicing, benchmarking performance against market data, and supporting project closeout and post-project reviews
• Developing handover procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Utilizing cost estimating, takeoff, and project controls tools to support delivery
• Adhering to SOX controls where applicable

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field
• 3-5 years in cost management, quantity surveying, or commercial management in construction
• RICS accreditation or progress toward it preferred
• Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge of procurement, value engineering, and cost management principles
• Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder relationship skills
