Project Superintendent - Wastewater Construction

Overview

In this role you will lead field operations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on-time, high-quality delivery within budget. You will work closely with project teams to develop schedules, manage crews and subcontractors, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. You'll oversee site logistics, safety, quality control, and coordination meetings to keep trades aligned with project milestones. This is an impact role where you help deliver essential utilities and support project closeout with rigorous discipline and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day field operations on water and wastewater projects from ground breaking to completion
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term project schedules with project management teams
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to meet production, safety, and quality goals
  • Coordinate site logistics, equipment, materials, and manpower planning
  • Conduct daily site walks and enforce safety standards, quality controls, and productivity expectations
  • Facilitate subcontractor coordination meetings to align trades with the project schedule
  • Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to project management and leadership
  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch list activities, and project closeout
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of superintendent experience in heavy civil, utility, or water/wastewater construction
  • Water/wastewater construction experience required
  • Proven success overseeing multimillion-dollar construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control
  • Experience managing subcontractors, self-perform crews, and complex field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management technology and Microsoft Office (preferred)
