Overview In this role you support Global Trusts & Estates by administering trust accounts under supervision, ensuring accurate set-up of records and timely communications with beneficiaries and co-trustees. You'll manage day-to-day administration, monitor risk, and assist with client relationship management in a long-standing corporate fiduciary environment. You will collaborate with tax, legal, and advisory teams to address distributions and governance, while contributing to process improvements. Responsibilities- Open trust accounts with the Account Opening Group and set up records (payments, fees, tax)
- Interpret governing instruments and applicable law to ensure proper administration
- Communicate with beneficiaries and co-trustees on procedures and decisions
- Assist with tax matters (income, gift, estate, generation-skipping) and discretionary distributions
- Prepare memos and obtain co-trustee approvals for discretionary powers
- Manage day-to-day administration and oversee related operational work to minimize issues
- Identify and mitigate trust-related risks using established risk tools
- Communicate investment and liquidity considerations to investors
- Contribute to departmental projects and committees
- Cancel payments/statements as needed to minimize risk and gather necessary documents for settlements
- Develop and maintain relationships with beneficiaries and intermediaries to support grantor's purposes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 2 years in the trust and estates industry
- Experience in trust administration and fiduciary concepts (legal, tax, investments)
- Strong problem solving and risk management capabilities
- Client servicing with proactive communication
- Teamwork and effective time management, with coaching and training ability
