Overview

In this role you will guide matter management and client-delivery improvements across practice groups within a premier global law firm. You will support lawyers, clients, and staff by applying legal project management, budgeting, and progress reporting to optimize value and efficiency. You'll collaborate across functions to design tools, processes, and resources that align with practice priorities and client needs. This position offers a chance to influence outcomes through process change and data-driven decision making in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities
  • Understand practice priorities and client challenges to align support and service delivery
  • Lead client relationship and practice group support with analysts and infrastructure team
  • Design and implement processes and tools addressing client priorities and relationship enhancement
  • Develop and maintain practice-specific resources to communicate costs, scope, risks, and run rates
  • Apply and advocate for legal project management best practices (scoping, budgeting, reporting, communication, efficiency)
  • Collaborate with Finance, Business Development, Practice Development, Knowledge Management and other teams to deliver innovative solutions
  • Leverage data storytelling and technology to optimize matter management and inform lawyers' decisions
Key requirements
  • Confidentiality and ethics in handling firm and client information
  • Build relationships across practice groups and departments; influence and achieve buy-in
  • Effective communication of solutions within a legal project management framework
  • Ability to work across multiple offices and with diverse teams; travel flexibility
  • Bachelor's degree; JD or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, financial institution or large complex organization; professional services experience preferred
  • Strong client service orientation with financial acumen
