Overview Senior Legal Counsel provides strategic legal support across environmental, health and safety regulatory matters, guiding enforcement and litigation, and advising on federal/state regulations. You will analyze regulatory developments, oversee permitting, and coordinate with agencies and outside counsel. The role supports cross-functional partners across the eastern U.S. and shapes preventive law practices while managing complex environmental cases.

Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel on environmental, health and safety regulatory matters and enforcement issues
- Manage litigation risk and contribute specialized knowledge on complex cases
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement company-wide improvements
- Coordinate external legal resources to supplement internal capabilities efficiently
- Advise management and support permitting and special environmental projects
- Engage with agencies and outside counsel as required
Key requirements- Juris Doctorate (accredited)
- Eight years of relevant work experience
- State Bar Licensure
- Substantial litigation experience
- Strong expertise in CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA and state analog regulations
- Familiarity with OSHA and DOT is preferred
