Overview In this role you will lead transportation design projects and cross-functional teams to deliver multi-modal roadway solutions. You will act as the client liaison, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure quality across deliverables. The position supports AMT's hybrid work model and ESOP-driven, employee-owned culture. Responsibilities- Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, focusing on multi-modal roadways
- Serve as liaison between client and project team, including external stakeholder agencies
- Manage technical resources including subconsultants
- Prepare task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets
- Develop project management plans and monthly progress reports
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations
- Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables
- Mentor and train junior staff
- Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics/renderings)
- Assist Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals
- Maintain positive working relationships with team members
Key requirements- Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC
- 8 to 12 years' experience in roadway/highway/traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Strong written and oral communication skills
