Overview

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will support a diverse employee population across the full life cycle, from onboarding to HRIS administration. You will partner with the HR team to implement local and company-wide programs while delivering excellent service, confidentiality, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will help manage employee relations investigations, policy guidance, and onboarding, shaping how SpaceX supports its people. This role offers meaningful impact through improving processes, programs, and employee experience in Hawthorne, CA and related spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Support employee relations investigations and conflict resolution
  • Maintain HRIS for all employee lifecycle processes
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide policy guidance to employees and managers
  • Serve as onboarding point of contact for new hires and support transitions
  • Ensure electronic files are accurate and assist with HR reporting/audit requests
  • Assist with creation, documentation, and implementation of HR policies and programs
  • Respond to unemployment claims and employment verifications
  • Deliver core HR services and support the HR team
  • Assist with identifying department needs and implementing improvements
  • Facilitate site-wide events (benefits fairs, volunteer efforts, team celebrations)
  • Support recruitment with staffing-related activities
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all matters and documents
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ months of administrative experience (internship qualifies)
  • 1+ years of intern or professional HR experience
  • Basic understanding of labor laws and HR trends
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits/tools knowledge (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with ability to collaborate across levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
