Cybersecurity Architect (Lead)

As the lead Cybersecurity Architect, you drive defensive cyber operations and AI support for a DoD command. You oversee a small team, shape Zero Trust and RMF compliance, and integrate threat intelligence to strengthen readiness. This role blends hands-on architecture with leadership in a high-sensitivity, TS/SCI environment. You will solve complex security challenges at Fort Meade and influence mission-critical outcomes. You will Shape secure, resilient systems and mentor security professionals to meet DoD requirements.

• Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals
• Design and implement Zero Trust architecture
• Conduct cybersecurity readiness assessments
• Oversee RMF compliance and accreditation
• Direct threat intelligence integration
• Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation

• 12+ years with BS/BA (or equivalent) or 10+ with MS/MA or 7+ with PhD; DoD-equivalent experience considered
• Current CISSP, CISM, or CASP+ IA certification
• Expert knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
• Strong RMF and NIST framework experience
• Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Experience leading security teams
• U.S. Citizenship; DoD TS clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI
