Overview In this CHDE role, you will architect, design, and build next generation server and rack solutions for AWS. You'll own end to end delivery, from concept through production, and work with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve top performance and quality. You'll help scale a massive, growing fleet while optimizing cost, reliability, and operational excellence. Responsibilities- Integrate hardware and software components to build servers and define products
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high-performance servers
- Establish strategic vision and drive execution for new products and services
- Lead integration and delivery of servers and support automated monitoring and failure analysis
- Work with service teams to tailor and operate server solutions for AWS
- Lead cross-organizational teams to improve cost, quality, reliability, performance, and serviceability
- End-to-end ownership from concept to launch
- Oversee design validation, test plans, and deployment of servers at scale
- Interact with engineers across the company to execute product designs from concept to production
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant technical experience
- 5+ years in server-level design for compute/storage/accelerator or complex product design
- 5+ years' experience leading ODMs and suppliers in product development and manufacturing
- Experience developing functional specs, design verification plans, and test procedures
- Experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution
