Overview As Estimator III at Boldt, you shape project scope and profitability for power generation and heavy industrial work. You will lead and support both detailed and conceptual estimates, coordinating internal and external resources to guide bids and deliverables. You'll work with project teams, owners, and partners to assess risk, model costs, and transition estimates to execution plans. This role blends technical estimating expertise with relationship-building to support OneBoldt and impactful projects.

Responsibilities- Lead and support detailed and conceptual estimating efforts across projects
- Review drawings and specifications to prepare bid documents
- Participate in estimate presentations and manage bid solicitation
- Evaluate proposals and collaborate with project teams, trade partners, owners, and design partners
- Contribute to target value design, risk and opportunity reviews, and cost modeling
- Ensure smooth transition of estimate information to project teams and internal stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-8 years of estimating experience on large power generation or heavy industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of estimating processes including labor, materials, equipment, subs, general conditions, permits, contingencies, and scope development
- Experience with detailed and conceptual estimates, cost models, and estimate deliverables
- Experience with negotiated GMP and lump sum/hard bid delivery methods
- Understanding of MasterFormat and Uniformat
- Proficiency with Excel, database-based estimating software, takeoff software, and scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera)
