Overview

In this role you advance UCB's rare disease portfolio at academic centers, educating neuromuscular specialists and care teams about gMG treatments. You will build strategic physician relationships, develop territory plans, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to drive product visibility and access. You'll stay current on rare disease trends by attending medical conferences and educating care teams on UCB options. This position offers impact through improving patient access and shaping care in top academic centers.

Responsibilities
  • Educate HCPs and neuromuscular specialists on UCB rare disease products through one-on-one and group formats
  • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at academic hospitals, VA/DoD clinics, and infusion centers to boost visibility and adoption
  • Develop territory business plans, review sales data, and implement strategies to meet targets in assigned institutions
  • Serve as an expert on gMG and UCB treatment options for physicians, nurses, infusion center staff, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with field-based teams (AE's, MSLs, TLL, Reimbursement/Market Access, Marketing) to support organizational goals
  • Attend medical conferences and symposia to provide promotional support and stay current with rare disease trends
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and account information in the CRM system
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulations
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of neurology-based field sales success
  • 3+ years selling to neurologists in Academic Centers of Excellence, preferably with neuromuscular rare disease experience
  • 4-6+ years rare disease experience
  • 3+ years working with hospital formularies and securing formulary access for promoted products
  • 3+ years success in developing thought leader relationships
  • Strong relationship-building abilities
