Overview

As a Collision Estimator, you play a pivotal role in guiding customers through the repair process with clarity and empathy. You will partner with customers, technicians, and parts staff to deliver timely, cost-transparent estimates and drive satisfactory outcomes. You balance sales goals with exceptional service, leveraging your product knowledge and technology to inform decisions. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, collaboration, and operational efficiency, helping AutoNation deliver trusted repairs at scale. You will contribute to a culture of service, integrity, and community impact through DRVPNK initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and discuss repair options
  • Assess repair needs via vehicle walk-around, inspections, and test drives
  • Present estimates and costs, aiming to secure the sale
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
  • Understand basic collision repair parameters and insurance programs (DRP and non-DRP)
  • Create repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates
  • Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely completion
  • Provide status updates and answer customer questions according to preferences
  • Manage multiple repairs simultaneously and participate in daily planning meetings
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws in transactions
  • Build rapport with customers to generate referrals
  • Deepen product knowledge to assist customers effectively
  • Handle administrative processes promptly per policy
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
Key requirements
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Ability to set and reach targeted goals
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Prior sales or retail experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience and interest in using technology
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record
